THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE HOME
I’ve spent so much of my life on the road that home was beginning to look like wherever I put down my coat. Three years ago, I turned in my corporate credit cards and title at VP Racing Fuels and settled into strange surroundings; my home in Media, Delaware County. After a four day book-signing event at the Autosport International Show Jan 10-13 in England, I’m looking very forward to another event where I’ll be promoting my latest novel, FUELIN’ AROUND. But more importantly, getting back to a familiar bed.
The last year with VP I flew 120,000 miles and with my first grandchild on the way and my desire to spend more time with my wife and grown kids it was time to turn in the keys. “FUELIN’ AROUND takes readers on quite a ride and I’m looking forward to signing copies of my novels at the Motorsports Trade Show in Oaks, PA January 18-20. At this event there’s so many racers, track owners, media, promoters, engine builders, and race fans. I dealt with a large number of them over the years and many are in the book. On the flip side, I may have fallen in love with motorsports at an early age but learned very quickly that following a passion would come at a high price.
In addition to very good reviews from motorsports editors in the U.S., Canada, and England, recent comments on Facebook from NHRA Champion and Hall of Famer Bruce Larson and many others are making FUELIN’ AROUND a very popular read this winter. The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame in Iowa and Santa Pod Raceway in England have added FUELIN’ AROUND to their gift shops and DRAW will have copies available at NHRA National Events this season beginning with a my book-signing at their booth on the manufacturer’s midway at the season opener in Pomona, California February 7-10.
What’s that song Willy Nelson sang – on the road again? My favorite though is still the Allman Brothers’ Ramblin Man! JK
