LOCAL INTERVIEW STILL PAYING DIVIDENDS
Philadelphia – So many people are still coming up to me mentioning the interview in the Delco Times.
“I went to Upper Darby but was a year behind you,” or “I saw the article and loved reading your book.” It’s reintroduced me to friends and acquaintances I haven’t seen in years. Sometimes it’s a bit awkward to talk about oneself but when book lovers get together that goes away quickly.
To help promote FOUND IN TIME I’ve been attending a good number of events in the Philadelphia and Upstate New York regions. As the mass of people pass by the booths it is so exciting to see a booklover’s eyes light up as if they’ve just discovered a new candy store. I’ve always enjoyed telling and retelling stories but getting to put them down on paper and then having critics and readers alike enjoy the story is one of the most rewarding things I’ve experienced to date.
Glad to see people are still reading not just novels but the newspapers. It’s hard to imagine a world without them.
In addition to FUELIN’ AROUND, non-fiction about my time in motorsports, is due out mid-September and I’m hoping to have the sequel to FOUND IN TIME finished by the first of the new year. That “headshot” above was taken of me recently while doing research at the AAF National Tank Museum in Danville, Virginia. Awesome facility if you’re ever in the area.
